5 reasons to choose a TOPFIT® push-to-connect fitting

TOPFIT push-to-connect fittings

Pneumatic fittings are critical to the performance and efficiency of your pneumatic system.

Push-to-connect (or pneumatic) fittings, also called self-locking fittings, are used in a number of industries for numerous applications. This is due to their practicality and their speed of use, among other benefits. There is a wide range of pneumatic fittings. Three types are usually used to connect pneumatic tubing to a system: push-to-connect fittings, compression fittings, and barbed fittings. Choose your push-to-connect fitting based on the application and the tubing that will be used. These must be compatible. Topring offers different models of pneumatic fittings. Today we present our range of TOPFIT® Push-to-Connect Fittings.

Fittings are used especially in automation and for fluid power.

TOPFIT® Push-to-Connect Fittings

TOPFIT® fittings are available in nickel-plated brass, polymer, and stainless steel. They are manufactured in metric (mm) and imperial (in) size ranges, based on the outside diameter of the pneumatic tubing being used. TOPFIT® fittings for metric tubing come with British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) thread, while the fittings for imperial tubing feature a National Pipe Thread Tapered (NPT) thread.

Below are the five advantages of TOPFIT® fittings for any fluid power system.

The benefits of TOPFIT® Push-to-Connect Fittings

1. One-piece design to save time

This diagram shows the one-piece design of our TOPFIT® fittings.

The one-piece design of the push-to-connect fittings shortens assembly time. This type of fitting takes 75% less time to connect than a standard compression fitting. Connection is instantaneous, and the release collar makes disconnection quick. No tools needed! To make assembly even easier, the male threads come with a pre-applied sealant. The fittings can be reused up to five times without having to add more sealant.

2. Positive gripping action for a secure connection

The claws of the pneumatic fitting grip the tubing securely.

The push-to-connect fittings have stainless steel claws. When the fitting is connected to pneumatic tubing, the lock claws grip the tubing securely without damaging its surface. Vibration and pressure surges are safely absorbed to prevent accidental disconnections.

3. Nothing protrudes inside the tubing, ensuring optimal airflo

The pneumatic tubing is inserted into the push-to-connect fitting.

The TOPFIT® fittings connect tightly thanks to their compact design. To attach a push-to-connect fitting to pneumatic tubing, just insert the tubing into the fitting. Since no part of the pneumatic fitting penetrates inside the tubing, the airflow is unrestricted and optimal at all times.

4. A perfect seal eliminates potential leaks

The fittings feature an O-ring to guarantee a tight seal.

A nitrile rubber O-ring creates a perfect seal between the outside diameter of the pneumatic tubing and the body of the pneumatic fitting. The fittings are designed to withstand multiple connections and disconnections while retaining their perfect seal and solid grip.

5. A swivel head is available for more flexibility

Swivel fittings provide more flexibility.

The direction of elbow and tee-shaped pneumatic fittings can be changed after installation. This allows them to be aligned in exactly the right direction. Some elbow and tee fittings are even rotary, that is, they can spin at a speed of up to 500 RPM.
